MONROE TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT - HEADQUARTERS ADDITION & ALTERATIONS

PROJECT OVERVIEW
FusionTech has been contracted by Tekcon Construction, Inc. to install new electrical systems and lighting for the Monroe Police Department Headquarters Addition Project. The electrical scope includes the installation of new service equipment and LED lighting. FusionTech’s responsibilities also include the installation of low voltage voice/data devices and wiring, a 200kW stand-by generator with ATS, and new LED parking lot lighting. All installations will be 100% self-performed with IBEW Local 456 labor. The project is scheduled to start in March 2023, with completion expected in late 2024.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
FusionTech installed new grounding grids at (17) Con Edison Substations throughout Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island in support of the Spill Protection Control and Countermeasure Project. Completed tasks included the procurement and installation of 1000 KCMIL and 4/0 AWG tinned copper ground cable, copper ground rods, FRE conduit risers, thermowelds, SWAGE couplers, and mechanical ground lugs for (80) 138kV Transformers and Reactors, along with documented resistance testing and as-builts of the completed grounding grids.

NYSDEC MOUNT LORETTO UNIQUE AREA 7.6kV PRIMARY ELECTRICAL SERVICE

PROJECT OVERVIEW
FusionTech installed a new 7.6kV underground primary electrical service for the Mt. Loretto Unique Area Maintenance Facility Building. The project scope included the removal of a damaged 1/0 primary feeder cable from the existing underground conduit system, installation of cable racking, ground rods, and exothermic welds in (11) manholes prior to installation of approximately 3500 feet of new 1/0 primary feeder cable from Hylan Boulevard to the new transformer pad at the Maintenance Facility Building. FusionTech also installed a 400-Amp meter pan, manual transfer switch, conduits and fittings, and installed, terminated, and tested new 500 MCM secondary copper conductors from the new transformer pad to the Maintenance Facility Building.

RFK / TRIBOROUGH BRIDGE CONDUIT AND FIBER CABLE INSTALLATION PROJECT

PROJECT OVERVIEW
FusionTech designed and installed 4” PVC coated GRS conduit from TBTA Building C3 to RFK Bridge Pier 113 on Randall’s Island. The project scope included the installation of approximately 1500 feet of 4” PVC coated galvanized conduit with 3-1.25” innerducts and stainless-steel pull-boxes along the underside and support Piers of the RFK Bridge, followed by the procurement and installation of approximately 6000 feet of 864-strand fiber optic cable from TBTA Building C3 to their Training Facility in Building 104.

MTA/LIRR EAST SIDE ACCESS PROJECT DAS NETWORK FIBER CABLE SPLICING & TESTING

PROJECT OVERVIEW
FusionTech was sub-contracted by PJS Electric to splice and test the fiber optic backbone cables in support of the new Distributed Antenna System (DAS) for the East Side Access Project. The project scope included the procurement and installation of wall-mounted fiber optic splice cabinets in each of (11) Telecom Rooms on the Concourse Level, and (7) Telecom Rooms on the Caverns Level of Grand Central Station, followed by the fusion splicing and acceptance testing of more than 4500 strands of ribbon and lose tube fiber with documented OTDR and Power Meter results. FusionTech also assisted PJS with pre-installation fiber testing and the installation of an 864-strand fiber cable in existing conduit from the Concourse Level to an ECS manhole on East 46th Street. Project completion is anticipated in December of 2022.

EXTENET TURNKEY AERIAL NETWORK & SMALL CELL ANTENNA INSTALLATION PROJECT

PROJECT OVERVIEW
FusionTech designed and constructed a turnkey aerial network in northern New Jersey for Extenet Systems as part of a planned network expansion to support a Small Cell Antenna deployment project for T-Mobile. The project scope included the design, permitting, and construction of over 75 miles of aerial cable plant, comprised of 1728-strand fiber optic cable and 100-pair copper cable, followed by the assembly and installation of over 700 Ericsson Small Cell Antenna nodes throughout Bergen, Hudson, and Essex Counties. FusionTech was also responsible for splicing and network acceptance testing of the fiber and copper cables, terminations at on-net hub facilities and power supply cabinets, along with detailed close-out packages for each antenna node.

AMAZON WAREHOUSE SIEMENS ROBOTICS CONVEYOR ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

PROJECT OVERVIEW
FusionTech recently completed the Electrical installation of a new Siemens Capella outbound cross-dock conveyor assembly at Amazon’s Staten Island LDJ5 Fulfilment Center. The project scope included the installation of (24) electric drive motors, a 480V Master Control Panel (MCP), a 250A Main Breaker Panel, EMT conduit, cable raceway, Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) cables, Profibus automation control cables, Emergency stops, horn strobes, and service disconnect switches. FusionTech also installed low voltage data cabling, labeled, and tested the system prior to customer turn-over.

SUNY MARITIME COLLEGE NEW SHIP'S PIER UPGRADES

PROJECT OVERVIEW
FusionTech has been contracted by J.T. Cleary, Inc. to install new electrical systems for the SUNY Maritime College New Ship’s Pier Upgrade Project. The electrical scope includes the replacement and splicing of new 6.6kV and 450V feeder cables, upgraded LED pier lighting, the installation of under-pier fiberglass-reinforced-epoxy coated (FRE) conduits with NEMA 6P stainless steel pull boxes, and the relocation of the existing training crane. FusionTech’s responsibilities also include the installation of new 6.6kV and 450V shore power outlets and a thermal heat trace system for the new sanitary sewer, domestic water, and fire protection piping along the pier. All work will be 100% self-performed with IBEW Local 3 labor. The project is scheduled to start in September 2022, with completion expected in late 2023.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
FusionTech recently completed the installation of (6) EVgo Electric Vehicle Charging Stations at the Menlo Park Mall in Edison, NJ. The project scope included the removal of the existing EVgo BTC Elysium Charging Units, and the installation and commissioning of (6) new 200kW EVgo High Power DC Charging Stations and (3) new HP Power Distribution Cabinets. FusionTech replaced the existing Siemens 250A 3-Pole AC breakers with 350A breakers in the Main Switchgear cabinet, and installed 250MCM copper DC conductors with #2AWG copper grounds through existing conduit to the new Charging Stations. FusionTech was also responsible for the installation of low voltage data and fiber optic cabling, labeling, and testing of the Charging Stations prior to customer turn-over. All work was completed with IBEW labor.

FusionTech has been contracted by Welkin / J-Track Joint Venture to install new electrical systems for the NYCEP PS-284 Clearview Pumping Station Reconstruction Project. The electrical scope includes the installation of new service equipment, ATS(s), Eaton switchgear, MCC(s), RTU panels, RVAT starters, and electric unit heaters. FusionTech’s responsibilities also include the installation of Class 1 Division 2 devices, wiring, and lighting fixtures, a 520kW stand-by generator, and the design and installation of the lightning protection system and rooftop photovoltaic system. All installations will be 100% self-performed with IBEW Local 3 labor. The project is scheduled to start in February 2023, with completion expected in late 2024.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
FusionTech has been contracted by Posillico / Bove Joint Venture to install new electrical systems for the South Battery Park City Resiliency Project – Package 2. The Wagner Park/Museum of Jewish Heritage Site Work Construction Services Project, a part of the larger South Battery Park City Resiliency Project, involves the construction of a redesigned Wagner Park and site modifications adjacent to MJH, including the installation of new floodwalls, and the raising of existing landscape grade to meet the overall SBPCR Project’s goal of providing flood risk reduction for Battery Park City and its residents. FusionTech’s electrical scope includes the demolition and re-installation of electrical distribution and lighting systems throughout the redesigned Robert F. Wagner Park project footprint. All installations will be 100% self-performed with IBEW Local 3 labor. The project is currently underway with completion expected by Spring 2025.
